Ok, Rush has said the same thing: she needs to be in the lower 48 . . . but I see no indication that she is moving to the lower 48, which still then does nothing to address the massive flying time that a single speech entails. Someone posted here that it's 11 hours from Anchorage to Florida?? So Newt can give a speech in FL in less than an hour, but for Palin, it's a 2-day affair?

Unless she moves---and she really seems to love Alaska---how is that mitigated?

The only thing that I can say to the Palin detractors on this site is to read this editorial:

http://www.adn.com/opinion/story/518451.html

Particularly this line:

“Palin is the only major political figure in the past 20 years who regularly comes to (Anchorage) Daily News editorial board meetings by herself, with no flunkies or handlers.”

Think about it...she had more confidence in herself, against a hostile media, than anyone else in 2 decades...and she never messed up in those solo inquisitions. Anyone who considers her a lightweight will be bitterly disappointed.

Much easier for her to speak out against Obama without fear of repercussions to Alaskans.

Palin should distance herself from Roger Stone as much as possible.

Toxic.

I seriously doubt Sarah would move her family to the lower 48.

Alaskans don’t leave Alaska except for a brief period during the winter when we go on vacation to either Hawaii or Disneyworld. She could however have a traveling RV caravan.

I have lived in Alaska since 1992 and I won’t even leave the state to visit relatives, the lower 48 is too hopelessly lost in gangs, crowds, smog and taxes.

If I was her I would rent a home along the south Texas coast from oct-may and have one of those huge bus conversion RVs. No Alaskan in their right mind will move to the lower 48, thats quitting.
