We put this resolution together, House Resolution 615, with the express idea that if a Member of Congress votes for this single payer government takeover plan that he or she will be willing to sign up for it.”

Naive, aren't you...

Although not mentioned, I assume this guy’s a Republican, because it’s a great idea, yet his party is not being given credit.

We put this resolution together, House Resolution 615, with the express idea that if a Member of Congress votes for this single payer government takeover plan that he or she will be willing to sign up for it. The President has already proposed gutting Medicare; reducing income to Medicare. Then we will have health care rationing...

It seems like they’ll do absolutely anything to get a Government Health Care bill, except for committing to join the program themselves. They’re not that stupid.

Okay, I'm wondering about something and this is for all you freepers:

I was injured twice actually, once working for the Feds and once working for the State( I get CALPERS two other insurances plus VA I've never used but able to should I need it) and am physically disabled. Since I'm in a rural area I get what's called the Rural Health Care Plan. I pay just a few dollars for my full Blue Cross benefits. This is only good because I live in an are where there are no options for HMO's etc.

Now if the government has a health care plan would this change my plan as is( I have a feeling it would) and if so that MAY mean I'd have to pay say $600.00 a month for my insurance I have and THAT would send me out in the streets because I'm 80% disabled, need the money for rent but if I have to pay both on my pensions than I'm literally screwed, and back to sleeping in a tent I go...BTW I live out here due to PTSD and such from..eh it was awhile ago, let's just say it was a bit of combat I probably will never get over completely and damned sure I'll never live in a city or around a lot of people ever again.

Any ideas what MIGHT or WILL happen? Will I have to pay my full insurance ? I'm very reluctant to ask my companies because if so there are a LOT of people like me that are completely insured up, don't pay taxes and now will( or MAY ) have to be fit for a huge bill each month that will put me in poverty and force me to have to work again which right now is darned near impossible

AND if I'm forced to have to start working just to live than ..augh, this is really going to be a mess because I'd have to lie to get a job and if I got a job it would "prove' in some sense I can work( my skills are old) which would screw my pensions and force me into an entry level job in which I'd be getting even LESS money q month. Maybe they'll give me the Kevorkian option...
