I wish he's said some of this publicly...
Book by former Bush speechwriter Matt Latimer
Claims Bush said that Obama wasn't "remotely qualified" to be President
(Not news there..)
The author said that Bush thought Hillary Clinton would be the nominee and said:
"The president, like me, didnt seem to be in love with any of the available options. He always believed Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic nominee. Wait till her fat keister is sitting at this desk, he once said (except he didnt say keister)."
Says McCain was a 5 spiral crash during the campaign..

I wonder who told him to shut up?
Ping.
The left was so polarized by then that they’d have pilloried him for saying anything, claiming it was sour grapes or something.
What is a five spiral crash? I’ve never heard that expression before.
Calls up images of a plane spiraling down for me - but haven’t heard it before either.
sounds like AF pilot longo for a spectacular crash....
BUSH wasn’t remotely qualified to be President.
No, but he was surrounded by at least one person who was.
I can't say the same for obama.
and yet I would have voted for him again in an instance if he were able to run and it was him vs the POS zer0bama, as Bush's qualifications are exponentially greater than the POS that currently sits in the White House
Definitely not a sudden crash.
At relatively high altitude where everyone could see him for miles around, trouble developed which the pilot couldn't handle. He lost control and the plane began to spiral down. The pilot couldn't recover from the spiral and five spirals means the pilot had plenty of time to recover or bail.
“(Bush) came in one day to rehearse a speech, fuming. ‘This is a dangerous world,’ he said for no apparent reason, ‘and this cat isn’t remotely qualified to handle it. This guy has no clue, I promise you,’”
I miss Bush.
See post 13. A pilots equivalent to saying "you could see it coming from a mile away".
It's a crash that developed from a relatively high altitude where everyone had plenty of time to watch it happen and point it out to others.
For a pilot, learning to recover from a spin is an important part of training. So, you could also say it is an insult in that while at relatively high altitude, the pilot took the plane into a spin and had plenty of time to recover but couldn't.
Mw too.
I'm laughing right out loud! Great way to start the day!
And W was right about that.
me too!
