"The utterly mortifying results of this debate are what occur when an actual scientist with a degree in meteorology, Joe Bastardi, debates a pro-global warming, self-professed "scientist" in Bill Nye whose biggest claim to fame, ridiculously, was hosting a pre-teen kids show on PBS during the 90s.."

In all fairness to Nye, the guy has a degree in engineering and worked for years in the aerospace industry, including a few things with NASA. I'm not saying he's right on global warming (I think he's wrong) or that he has more expertise than a trained meteorologist (I think he doesn't), but this is cheap shot journalism by Schenker.

BTW, according to Wiki, Carl Sagan was one of Nye's professors at Cornell. This would explain much of Nye's views on the subject. As brilliant as Sagan was, he made some breathtakingly wrong predictions on the environment - such as his doomsday weather forecast for the Gulf after Saddam set fire to the oil wells during Desert Storm.

LOL! I loved Rush's rebuttal to that theory:

"See, there's this thing called, "Rain....""
