Hillary Clinton Gets Her Bible All Wrong At AIPAC Meeting
The Lid ^ | 3/22/09 | The Lid

Hillary Clinton continued the Obama administration's attacks on Israel during her speech at the American Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC) convention:

New construction in East Jerusalem or the West Bank undermines mutual trust and endangers the proximity talks that are the first step toward the full negotiations that both sides want and need. It exposes daylight between Israel and the United States that others in the region could hope to exploit. And it undermines America's unique ability to play a role - an essential role, I might add -- in the peace process. Our credibility in this process depends in part on our willingness to praise both sides when they are courageous, and when we don't agree, to say so, and say so unequivocally.

poor creatures. when they try to make reference to scripture, they just look clueless and out of place.

john kerry tried to use scripture to support his position on gay marriage in 2004, and came off creepy. he mentioned there being "clauses" in the bible supporting his position. the lease contract on my SUV has "clauses". the bible contains "verses of scripture". and that sort of confusion is almost all you need to know.

It just seems weird to see the words Bible and Clinton in the same sentence.

A Liberal spouting scripture is like an ape singing opera (with apologies to the ape).

On another thread which quotes the CSQ's prepared text I wrote, quoting the CSQ in italics:
We commend the government of President Abbas and Prime Minister Fayyad for the reforms they have undertaken to strengthen law and order, and the progress they have made in improving the quality of life in the West Bank.

Certainly Arabs living inside Green Line Israel must be free to take advantage of this great quality of life and escape Israeli Apartheid. My guess is that few have availed themselves of this opportunity.

Do you know anything about how many Israeli Arabs have moved into PA controlled areas?

To hear this Godless Leftist woman quote Holy Scripture is beyond endurance and an insult. If she wants a good Biblical lesson she might take a look about the parable of Jesus and the prostitute ,’’repent and sin no ore’’(give up Marxist politics and maybe do something positive for the world) or maybe She’s should read about “The Whore of Babylon’’.

[Guest post by DRJ]

Vice President Joe Biden is known for his tendency to misspeak but, in a post entitled “Clinton decides that Hamas controls Ramallah,” Carl in Jerusalem shows that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is doing her best to catch up:

“Hillary Clinton has given her speech to the AIPAC conference. You can find the full transcript here (8-page pdf). The headline of this post came in the middle of this speech. It is nothing short of astounding that Clinton is so misinformed (or is she lying?) that she believes Hamas was behind the dedication of that square in Ramallah to mass murderer Dalal al-Mughrabi. Well, it was Fatah.
***
What a bleeping moron. Ramallah – the city that named the square after Dalal al Mughrabi – is controlled by FATAH not Hamas. Dalal al Mughrabi was a FATAH terorrist. FATAH did that dedication – not Hamas. What will it take to get through her thick skull that FATAH ARE TERRORISTS just like Hamas. They just talk more nicely.”

In an Update, Carl explains why this matters:

“I want to make it clear why it’s important that Clinton thinks that Hamas controls Ramallah.

The Obama administration, like every US administration since Bill Clinton’s, is incapable of admitting that Fatah is a terror organization. Only a terror organization would have honored a terrorist like Dalal al-Mughrabi, who was responsible for the murder of 37 Israeli civilians (including 13 children) and one American civilian and the wounding of hundreds of others in what is known as the “Coastal Road massacre.”

So in Clinton’s mind, since Fatah is not a terror organization, Fatah could not have honored al-Mughrabi. So it must be Hamas.

The implications for the ‘peace process’ – the fact that the United States refuses to recognize that it is trying to deal with a terror organization and is asking Israel to make peace with a terror organization – ought to be obvious.”

Carl also points out other discrepancies in Clinton’s statements, such as Clinton’s claim that President Obama’s “commitment to Israel’s security and Israel’s future is rock solid.” http://patterico.com/2010/03/22/hillary-isms/#comments

On a side note: Krauthammer accurately contrasts this administration’s response to Israel versus Russia. Sort’ve says it all:

Interesting week. A study in contrasts. The Israelis announce the construction of a bunch of houses for a few Hasidim in Jerusalem. The administration issues a condemnation and then a barrage of threats against Israel.

Same week, the secretary of state in Moscow gets slapped in the face as she is standing there, and the Russians announce that the they’re going to complete a nuclear power plant in Iran contrary to American requests — Iran, a country that is the chief exporter of terror according to our own State Department — and her response is: Nothing.
