Feminism is irrelevant to the current surge in Republican women politicians.
Plain old capability and competence is responsible. None are feminist crones who wear no make up and dress in black and wear a thin string of pearls. They are all real, not synthetic cardboard wannabe’s.
They only denigrate manhood when they are preparing to decimate the culture and wants a TRANSFORMATION—can’t do it with emotional healthy, strong-minded, independent men.
The men are who make a country safe and protects it. The public schools are destroying boys who are competitive and smart and honorable by brainwashing them with moral relativism through teaching feminism and homosexual pride.
This would NEVER, EVER been allowed by parents prior to the sixties—to have their Western Christian values be trashed in the name of glorifying worse cultures, worse behavior and denigrating their nature and pretending that God was wrong when he created man and women.
Marxist want groups to hate each other for revolution. They want chaos and to do that they marginalize groups—esp. those that make the nation the strongest and united.
They destroy the men, the family, and the churches. They denigrate the heroes of that culture, humiliate and demean anyone who stands for the Founders principles which creates the best culture in the world.
The piece is a bit incoherent. He doesn’t understand the difference between American conservatism and the term “conservative” as its used in other contexts.
American conservatives are by and large constitutionalists, and by and large classic liberals rooted in a judeochristian world view.
The “feminism” of someone like Palin or Bachmann doesn’t pass muster with the feminists because it is again rooted in a Christian world view, and their politics are again constitutionalist. They are not feminists as the term is typically used. They don’t see themselves as feminists in the ideological sense and the ideological feminists certainly don’t claim them.
It doesn't just "happen" to be the standard. Those standards are the result of centuries worth of trial and error. The values retained are those that have proven themselves over the eons and have earned the right to be conserved.
Conservatism is a plan. Liberalism happens by chance.
Certainly the old Catharine MacKinnon/Andrea Dworkin/Susan Faludi brand of feminism was a female supremacist ideology, but when Sarah Palin calls herself a feminist she is not embracing sexist bigotry. Feminism has long had a positive "up with women" component and a negative "down with men" component. Conservative feminism is all about the former, liberal feminism is all about the latter.
Or, you could just say that the word "feminism" no longer has a clear definition.
