…and America is being whipped by its own leaders

And then there is Iran. Media coverage clearly points to the increasing likelihood of a U.S.-Israel offensive war against Iran. Do Americans want war with Iran? Can their economy stand what will be another unending war? Do 300 million Americans want to take on 1.4 billion Muslims who will be at least temporarily united after Washington and Israel start a war on Iran? Do these same Americans really want the violence in their towns and cities that Iran will sponsor after it is attacked? Can Americans trust their generals to put U.S. interests first after seeing General Petraeus kiss the butt of the Israel-First Necon Max Boot and beg him to publish articles saying that he (Petraeus) is a good little sycophantic loyalist to AIPAC’s agenda?* Do American parents want their kids in the military to die in what would be a second war for Israel in less than a decade?

This is not a new piece but I could not help myself. Are our economic vulnerabilities today so much that war with Iran would be way too much to stomach considering that we are fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq? If Israel goes ahead alone in hitting Iran, is it us who will pay?

I see that my post comes from a pro-isolationist site, but its still interesting.

Thoughts, fellow Freepers?

There was far too much supposition in that article - supposition supported by logic which would make global warming alarmists proud,

Sorry, ain’t buyin’ it.

BUT, and this is a big BUT...we have a limp d*ck with the IQ of Paris Hilton running the country.

THAT’s gonna hurt when we try anything against anybody.

Ignorant from its very premise. The majority of those “1.4 billion muslims” hate Iran and the Persians. They WANT Iran to get hit and soon.

Maybe the author should have at least a basic understanding of the region before writing such junk.

Yeah, a nuclear Iran is no biggie. After all, having a US city nuked off the planet wouldn’t hurt the economy. Nah. Nor would the world war that would ensue if Tel Aviv was glassed (and then most of the ME by Israel perthe Sampson Option). /OBVIOUS SARC

The anti-Semite is appealing to fear to stop Israel from doing what it must to stop a nuclear Iran.

And I thought anti-Semites say the Jews are cowards. What about anonymous here?

As way of explanation, Mr. Scheur (Anonymous of book fame)talks admiringly about the power of the Jewish lobby to brainwash Americans and control the debate(ha!).

Michael Scheur is one of the nicer anti-Semites. He is always saying sir and in a nice way.

My thoughts. If we don’t take care of the United States first.....we are done. Look at Rome and the Aztecs.....dicators took over and the people did nothing. Then what happened? Rome and the Azetcs don’t exist any longer. The people of this country have to wake up to the fact that socialists and communists want to run this country and when that happens, everyone and I mean everyone, will be under their control. Even the ones that supported them. No nation in history has had it as good as the United States. Don’t let it go away.....ever. Listen to the song in my tag line.

Do Americans want war with Iran?

No, of course not. That's a stupid question. I know I know, "There's no such thing as a stupid question." We tell our kids that, junior employees, people we're presenting a brief to, etc. However, this is a stupid question. No-one but a psychopath would want a war, period.

Do 300 million Americans want to take on 1.4 billion Muslims...

Not sure we have a choice. Radical Islam has already declared war on us. It remains to be seen what percentage of Muslims are going to sit idly by and watch a few madmen pervert their religion for the sake of worldly power.

...who will be at least temporarily united after Washington and Israel start a war on Iran?

Again, just plain stupid. This person is a professional writer and/or analyst? I think not. Neither the US nor Israel will start a war with Iran. Either or both may initiate a limited military strike against selected targets (yes, technically an act of war), but neither is going to pursue an ongoing military engagement with Iran. (ie. a war)

We have been the “free world’s” military for a long time and Israel is a part of that. Only problem is that with globalism, the free world is not so free anymore. The constitutional Republic that we once had, has been replaced by Executive Orders and whims of power in service to itself and Foreign powers. We had no say in it’s repeal and so the basis of the Union is gone.

Without the inspiration of American freedom, the US military’s ranks are going to diminish and our soldiers are already over stretched. In the meantime, we have a war raging over the border with head chopping and heart gouging drug cartels who are on the verge of moving full force into the US abetted by domestic traitors in power - in both parties. They have put a price on the head of Sheriff Joe and various unfriends politicians like they do in Mexico and a judge in Arizona just gave them the green light to make their move on the Americans.

We remind me of Soviet Union. So I would not worry so much about Israel pulling the US into another war. Worry about the losers who stepped up the war in Afghanistan with Viet Nam era rules of engagement. Worry about the country even surviving this meglomaniac fascist dream of total power among our “citizens of the world.”
