I once had a cashier at CVS accuse me of coupon fraud because I dared to use a legitimate printed coupon. She had such a hissy fit about it and raised her voice so that everyone in the store knew what a criminal I was that I gave it back to her. I asked her if she was accusing me of committing a crime, "Well no but that coupon is illegal". By all means then I want you to call the police on me right now. She started stammering and getting all flustered. The line behind me got longer as I stood my ground and insisted she call 911 immediately because I obviously was a menace to society and needed to be arrested.

She called the manager to the front of the store instead. He proceeded to apologize profusely and rang up my original, perfectly legal deal just like she should have done. I then suggested to him that perhaps he'd like to educate his cashiers on proper coupon use instead of having them accuse their customers of criminal activity. I never saw her in that store after that so either she quit or they got rid of her snarling face.

I am so sorry that happened to you. Anytime a cashier brings unwanted attention your way can be embarrassing. I am so proud of you for standing up and talking back. I love it that you told her to call 911!! Kudos to you!!!

Good for you !
I had a similar experience at a store when I was buying a ceiling fan at a greatly reduced price. Called the mgr over and she took care of it.

FYI, my local CVS is VERY helpful with coupon use and EXTRA CARE bucks, especially the manager. That is why I like them better than Walgreens.

Keep in mind CVS will give rainchecks on sale items when the are out of stock. They will also let you use competitors coupons such as Walgreens.

Another tip: Sign up online for CVS customer surveys. They usually take about 15 minutes. The last one was good for a $5.00 coupon good for anything at the store.
