Ive seen several instances over the last few days of pundits (left and right) who try to equate the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement and the Tea Party (TP). The argument is that both share a distrust of the big banks and the Federal Reserve, and both are against the bailouts.
Aside from the obvious differences in average age, tax paying status, and personal hygiene habits, from my observations, it is not at all clear that OWS is against the bailouts per se. The sense I get is more along the lines of they got theirs, now I want mine. One wonders if they would Occupy GM with the same message.
Ive also heard many liberals say that it is the collusion between Wall Street and government that is the problem. Its a concern I share, but why, if government is corrupt, is their answer to the problem MORE government? Apparently the left forgot the maxim that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
More government necessarily equals more corruption. Its as inevitable as the sun rising in the east. That is why the solution proposed by the Tea Party is diametrically opposed to OWS. We believe less power in the hands of the Federal Government, and more power in the hands of the people...

The last 2 1/2 years have proved that.
More government equals more corruption.
body odor?
ha! Yes, I was just going to post ‘personal hygiene’ and ‘a job’.’
I say Tea Party folks need to swarm into these “occupy” protests armed with large signs that communicate conservative concerns. We’d see how long the “just like teaparty” meme would last.
Just look at the name of the two groups for the difference. The tea party does not want to occupy anything. What stupidity! The Flea Party cannot even tell you why they are there!
Your graphic is total BS being that it makes a blanket statement about corporations and makes false statements about the Occupy Wall Street crowd.
Do certain corporations align themselves with socialist and fascists in order to have government pick and choose the winners and losers in the market? Yes. It is what the green movement is all about.
Yet the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ crowd support this type of fascism and lobbying of government.
Most corporations though simply want to be left alone by government and want a free market and your graphic smears them completely.
Lol. Whatever, socialist.
Your calling me a socialist?
Yet you want to post graphics putting a positive spin on the socialist scum of Occupy Wall Street?
Let’s hear your defense of this movement then.
