I feel the same way about our “Pure Michigan” ad campaign in Michigan. Taxpayer money going primarily to advertise golf courses, casinos, and high dollar resorts. Meanwhile the primary tourism revenue generators camping, fishing, and hunting type stuff gets barely a mention.
If they want to spend taxpayer dollars they should set up a simple website at minimal cost and let us promote our own state with travel blogs, pictures, stories, etc.
