I was just talking about the economy. The incredibly heirarchal society was another story, and don’t even get me started on the plight of the Red Shirts.

Those guys not only knew how to make ALL the technology work, they were also the most expendable. Now, in a society where the technology enables everyone to realize their wildest dreams, shouldn’t those tech guys be almost revered?

But, instead they are chosen to die horrible deaths. Its like the effete blue shirts and overbearing gold shirts were jealous and wanted the red shirts to die young. There is something going on behind the scenes with this that they don’t want us to know! :)

Of course there's no equality. It's a military (naval, really) organization.
