Forget RINO, let's just call people like Rove and Will what they are: Republicans

Overuse of a word sometimes causes it to lose its meaning. As ugly an insult as being called a “Nazi” once was, in the mind of some Americans who think World War II was fought one hundred years ago, its overuse has caused the word to now connote a “busybody” or a “stickler for rules.” “Soup Nazi” makes this point. As an insult there is no longer any sting in the word “Nazi.”

RINO “Republican In Name Only” is an insult whose time has come and gone as well. “RINO” as an insult to Republicans who were not conservatives, or failed to stand up to liberals in the public area, had a rather short life. A search of the word reveals that although it may have been around since the 1920s, it didn’t find its way into print until December 1992.

As an insult “RINO” labels someone as an outcast and not in the mainstream of Republicanism. Nevertheless the word RINO has traveled a straight line from indicating someone who is...

It hit me early last year: A RINO is a conservative republican. REAL republicans are liberals, but not socialists like Democrats.

That’s exactly what they are.

The word republican means one thing and one thing only.

Enemy.

I’ve been saying that for years. We conservatives are the real RINOs.

Cute and pithy, but before you do, maybe check with the following:
Mike Reagan, Ted Cruz, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Rand Paul, Ron Johnson, Scott Walker, Andrew Wilkow, Herman Cain, the thousands of state legislators who are stopping Obama Care in their states, all the Congressmen who voted against Obama Care and against cap and trade, etc.

Or, and here’s a novel idea: we could just continue to say establishment Republicans - as compared to base or conservative or Tea Party Republicans. How’z that? Not as cute or pithy, but damned sight more practical.

YES!

Thank You!

This is what I have been saying for weeks.

The Republicans are just as much our enemies as the Democrats.

We could either A: Fundamentally Transform the GOP into a Conservative Party by getting in at the grassroots level and get our people into low level postions first(karl rove will be fighting us the whole way though)

B. Abandon it like the Whig party before it and move on with our lives. (but wait you say, won't that mean democrat victories?) I hate to tell you this but we sure as Hell aren't getting anywhere with our current strategy, I think Ubama has gotten more of his agenda through with the Repubs than with the Dems because the GOP is obsessed with Bi-partisanship.
