These events inspire geology buffs AND space buffs alike, as it’s been surmised that moon orbit, sun activity, and geologic activity are somehow linked. I would absolutely suspect that more events are coming. We’re all floating on an ocean of magma. It’s all about where the next fissure opens up.

From the article:
...The spasms of the earth come without warning, but at the same time those spasms should be a wake up call to all of us that change can happen in the blink of an eye.
Better be prepared for it.

Earthquakes are way up. I expect the increased number of volcanoes directly related to the increase in earthquakes. And remember for every surface volcano, there are several more submarine volcanoes erupting. Seems some warming of the oceans and seas would result from those. Warmer seas means more moisture; more moisture in the atmosphere means more snowfall; more snow on the ground means even more cooling. This added to the ash and SO2 released by surface volcanoes leads to lower global temperatures. Then there is the decreased activity of the sun...

I have no idea how often eruptions happen. Any way to figure the odds on this just being coincidence?

Lots of greenhouse gases being spewed. Ubama will have to outlaw all fossil fuels to compensate.

The sun has been relatively active lately, shooting off some class X flares in the past few weeks. There are 4 sunspots on the earth facing side right now, in fact the big one is shooting off some M class flares as we speak.
To: Errant
As sunspot activity meanders lower and lower, we find ourselves on a planet that is contracting as we cool.. Contrary to the belief that we are warming espoused by the greenoids.
AS the earth shrinks ever so slightly, more stuff aka guts of the earth gets squeezed and sets off a chain of events experienced numerous times before recorded history.
This time however, we also have our civilizations on the line as well.
Yes, my friends, it is time we blow up the Sun.. Shoot some fuel at it..
Or endure the process of a universe remaking itself and enjoy the ride.

Any way to figure the odds on this just being coincidence? I've been tracking the number of earthquakes and volcanoes for several years now. Last year, there were 75 surface eruptions which was a record. So far this year, before these (not sure how many are new for the year), we had 82 individual volcanoes erupting.

Lots of CO2, but SO2 (sulfur dioxide which greatly reflects sunlight) overrides any greenhouse effect from the increased CO2.
