Earthquakes are way up. I expect the increased number of volcanoes directly related to the increase in earthquakes. And remember for every surface volcano, there are several more submarine volcanoes erupting. Seems some warming of the oceans and seas would result from those. Warmer seas means more moisture; more moisture in the atmosphere means more snowfall; more snow on the ground means even more cooling. This added to the ash and SO2 released by surface volcanoes leads to lower global temperatures. Then there is the decreased activity of the sun...
The sun has been relatively active lately, shooting off some class X flares in the past few weeks. There are 4 sunspots on the earth facing side right now, in fact the big one is shooting off some M class flares as we speak.
