Anyone with half a brain should be somewhat anxious, given this chronically sad state of affairs around the world.

It's always been like this. In the 50's school children were trained to hide under their desks because the USSR was going to nuke us any day.

For most Americans living in fear is a choice.

I grew up on the MAD Magazine of the mid-to-late ‘60s thru the late ‘70s...half of it was kinda scary while the rest of it had me in stitches. I recently found a pile of them on eBay. Now that I’ve started reading them again, it’s like the world hasn’t really changed all that much.

50’s school children

I agree living in fear is a choice. Our lives here are so temporary, so much of value here and ahead of us. Every generation thinks their the ones who will witness the end.

I know my relatives who lived through WWII thought the world was coming to an end then too. Remember the claim of nukes ending the world in the ‘80s & 90s. Remember Y2K?

Remember the Mayan ca lander etc.....The world may be going downhill but we are much more than what we see around this world and we being here are temporary. Have faith. It really helps. I was a fan of Beck when he started but he has really lost it. That is too bad.
