Speaking of high end plug in hybrids, I haven’t heard much about Chevy’s lower end Volt in quite a while. Wondering what’s going on with it? Any current knowledge?

Go figure. Folks who spend all that money for a Cadillac don’t want to plug their car in every night.

That was without a doubt the best commercial for American ingenuity.

Another coal-powered coupe bites the dust. Electric vehicles are just as foolhardy as burning food (corn-derived ethanol) in gasoline vehicles.

Until nuclear power is embraced in this country, and especially until fusion is commercialized, the only reason to ever build an electric vehicle is for specialized applications like indoor or quiet-zone operation (e.g., forklifts and golf carts).

Heard that Toyota no longer makes its plug-in Prius.

Casual follower of e-drivetrain technology on this end. A lot of talk recently of 48-volt Mild Hybrid Systems have caught my eye. The question begs who is working on it ( many majors, they have hinted about it SAE papers, Ford for example, etc ) and will this Caddy reemerge with this 48v system in the future and who else?
