The groups present detailed suggestions for tackling systemic racism.
A collective of over 50 black activist organizations released a detailed policy platform on Monday outlining a plan to “advance black liberation” that includes education reform, reparations and abolition of the death penalty.
“A Vision For Black Lives: Policy Demands For Black Power, Freedom, and Justice” has 40 policy priorities, six platform demands and a set of key solutions all aiming to end the “war on black people.” Spearheading the initiative is The Movement for Black Lives, a combination of grass-roots organizations advocating for black rights.
“A Vision for Black Lives” follows in the footsteps of Campaign Zero, a separate platform released last year that focuses on police violence, though policing is not its only concern. It also takes the proposed reforms a step further than the racial and criminal justice sections of the 2016 Democratic platform, by offering more detailed suggestions for tackling systemic racism based on discussions with black activists and community members.
“Our grievances and solutions extend beyond the police killing of our people; state violence includes failing schools that criminalize our children, dwindling earning opportunities, wars on our trans and queer family that deny them of their humanity, and so much more,” Montague Simmons of the Organization for Black Struggle and the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) Policy Table said in a statement. “That’s why we united, with a renewed energy and purpose, to put forth a shared vision of the world we want to live in.”(continued)

Clinton may have a cast of thousands helping her out, but she has to do the bidding of the people who are paying all their salaries, and you had better believe their goals aren’t that of the average person. That’s one poison pill, this platform is another.

Obama and other blacktivists saw the writing on the wall (that affirmative action and the welfare state were doomed; affirmative action is inherently unconstitutional, the welfare state unaffordable, and more and more people here would fit under the umbrella - Hispanics, primarily); they are now on a mission to preserve their status as “wards of the state” (akin to American Indians) who can opt to fritter away their days without working if they so choose.
The people who are behind “A Vision For Black Lives: Policy Demands For Black Power, Freedom, and Justice” should know that the “war on black people” is being waged mainly by ILLEGAL ALIENS!
My first job out of high school in the mid ‘60s was as a common laborer on a highway construction crew. Three-fourths of my coworkers were colored people* from Pine Bluff, who came to Kansas every year for the seasonal work. We played practical jokes, shared lunch box items, fetched each other water, and worked our tails off as a unit. We had each other’s back around traffic, heavy equipment and other hazards.
We were as close to brothers as anyone else on earth. All that we expected was that every one pulled his fair share of the load every single day. When they would head home to Arkansas for the winter, we knew they’d be back in spring full of new stories of their children, grandchildren, and extended families. They had names unusual to me at the time: Coastey, Morrell, Buck, Junior and Tiny (who was NOT), to name a few. A finer bunch of good, hard working men was not to be found.
The young black men of today have very little chance for such honest, hard work. They’re squeezed out of it by ILLEGAL ALIENS who have no idea of our American - black or white - heritage and can barely even speak our language. If the B(lack)LM folks will get on board with the A(merican)LM concept, small baby steps might get started to Make America Great Again like it was some 50 years ago or so...For a whole lot of American Citizens.
* As in NAACP, not a racial slur - not to me, anyway.
A few suggestions:
Clean up your collective act in the black communities, and there will be a lot less problem with the police shooting blacks.
Stop killing other people and the death penalty will magically go away as an issue.
Recognize that the lack of jobs isn’t the result of racism, but rather the unsuitability of your people for the workplace, and the country’s immigration policies.
Stop turning the schools into war zones where only the worst teachers will work, and black kids will then have an opportunity to get educated.
Stop putting racist ideas into kids such as the notion that acting civilized and getting an education is “acting white”.
Clean up the so-called music that your kids are exposed to, and the constant racist, profane, misogynistic, and violent images that engulf them from birth.
Stop voting on the basis of race and blind loyal to party labels, but instead consider the qualifications of the candidates.
Start taking responsibility for your own deplorable condition, and stop blaming others.
Take a good look at “Mother Africa” and compare the conditions that black people have to endure there, and then think about how good you have it here.
If these people were serious about stopping the killing of black people, they would start with the abortuaries that target black babies.
Then they would start the long, difficult job of eradicating the toxic culture that crushes anyone who wants to be successful.
Law enforcement really isn’t their problem. For the most part, their problems are self-inflicted while the Democrats cheer them on and enable them.
How about they get their reparations from the blacks and Arabs who bought and sold their ancestors? And are buying and selling their cousins today?
That's easy. Vote out the Democrats. Whether it is blacks gunned down by Democrat supporters in Democrat run cities, or the blacks aborted through the policies the Democrats promote, they are the source of the "war on black people".
Nothing but communism dictatorship...reparations...not mentioned once is anything about stopping government handout shackles and limiting one’s self worth...no mention of fatherlessness.
