The Tea Party is alive and well.
The tea party (or what would become the tea party) actually started in 2008 in response to the pending bank bailouts.
I know. I was there.
It later morphed into opposition to Obamacare and other issues.
Tea party or no tea party we must remain active and engaged with our government (no matter who is in office) and speak up strongly about things we don’t agree with. If we can join with others who feel the same on certain issues, all the better.
I still get emails from several Tea-Party labeled organizations, usually with a “send us money” theme following a scare-the-folks story. Any clue on which are legitimate?
I am the vice chairman of the local Tea Party, we had a meeting tonite, I spoke, pointed out that the second American Revolution is underway, President Trump is only one man, he will need our help before this is over so we need to get to work. What I said was well received.
