Yes it will backfire, Hitler had his SS execute the SA (brownshirts) when they brought him to power. In the US, we don’t need a National Socialist Party (NAZI) to accomplish this, we have our own guns. The question is really, when is enough truly enough that we must put down the ANTIFA like the rabid dogs they are?

Why are we letting this group of organized thuggery use the honorable designation of ‘Anti-Fascist’? Once again we lose the battle of language and thus of ideas. WW2 was won by the Anti-Fascists, not by the anarchists and multiculturalists which these thugs actually belong to in deed and spirit! They are, by behavior and intolerance, the kissing kin of Hitler & Tojo & Mussolini and their thugs!
Those that preach diversity the loudest hate diversity of opinion the most. Shame on the city for their cowardice and refusal to protect this event. They should all be thrown out of office and the President should send federal marshals and whoever else it takes to ensure the safety of the parade in the absence of the city and county.

I have not seen Travis McGee post since Election Day, but I’d guess he’s (1) being careful as he watches our world come far too close to his writing, and (2) taking notes on current tactics and responses on both sides.
As he said he hoped for, I’m hoping the thugs will back down peacefully, or that the police will maintain order as they are (supposed to be) paid to do. The alternative will not be pretty.

Antifa thugs will lose if that’s the path they insist upon, but America will also lose (just not quite as decisively). I wish liberals were capable of logic and of learning the easy way! Terrorism - the use of violence against the innocent to accomplish political goals - is unacceptable. Governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed. If our government will not use those powers to stop terrorists, then under natural law those powers revert back to the people.

By and large these protests and the associated violence are happening in urban centers where the majority of the population is in agreement with the backing political motives.
