Despite what you've heard — or rather, have not heard — from the White House, June is Pride Month.
To celebrate and show support for the LGBTQ community, Twitter has released a custom heart emoji, Instagram added some fierce AF stickers to its app, and Google even dedicated a Doodle to the honor the American artist and LGBTQ rights activist who crated the rainbow flag. President Trump, however, has done nothing.
We're already two days into June and have heard complete silence from the White House in regards to Pride. Needless to say, people have definitely noticed — and they're not happy about it.
Though the White House has released statements publicly declaring this month National Homeownership, Ocean, African-American Music Appreciation, and Great Outdoors month, the president has yet to acknowledge Pride Month.
You'd think a man who tweeted about the LGBTQ community that one time, promising to fight for their freedoms and beliefs during his campaign, would be attentive and eager to celebrate a month dedicated to just that. So far, though, nothing....

When is “Theft Month”?
When is “Dishonor your Father and Mother Month”?

Exactly right. By not mentioning the gays, President Trump is treating them just like everyone else. The gays are furious that they are not now being put up on a pedestal and worshiped.
I recall how Obama made some speeches, in which he talked of civil rights “from Selma to Stonewall”, thus putting homosexuality on the same plane as the struggle for civil rights for minority groups.
the “LGBT” activist types now apparently just expect, that whoever is in the White House will pay homage to their cause.
I read somewhere that, as a group, the homosexual community have higher incomes, higher levels of education, lower rates of poverty, higher rates of business ownership, vs. the general population.
The point being, they are hardly some oppressed group, by using criteria used by activists to talk about the plight of minority groups.
I just Googled “Pride Month” to see what it is and found that it is “LGBT Pride Month.” The synopses said it has been ongoing since 1969 but the acronym LGBT hasn’t been around that long. I wonder what made them proud in 1969? President Nixon was still in the White House and our POW’s had not come home yet from South Viet Nam. Boss Mustangs were all the rage, and Apollo 11 landed on The Moon.
Not acknowledging “pride month” is the difference between tolerating it and celebrating it.

Is this now the new tactic? Just like changing ‘Global Warming’ to ‘Climate Change’, now they’re calling this celebration of Homosexuality, ‘Pride Month’? Pathetic. How stupid do the left think we are?
Just goes to show, no matter what Trump does, there is some whiner going on about it. Trump doesn’t say anything about LGBT Month, they whine. His daughter Ivanka posted about LGBT Month and was blamed by the Leftists.

Why do those who promote “Gay” pride condemn anyone who is proud to be NON-gay?
This is a standard tactic by the left when their agenda fails to gain widespread support - change the name and hope people don't catch on. Another example: The left has recently been abandoning the term "Gun Control", and is now using the term "Gun Safety" in its place (after all, who could be opposed to "safety?") Same agenda, new name.
LGBTQ media advocacy organization GLAAD slammed Trump's "silence" in a press release. The group pointed out that Trump declared June to be "Great Outdoors Month," "National Ocean Month" and "National Homeownership Month" with no mention of the LGBTQ community.
Maybe they heard wrong, though. Maybe Trump did proclaim June "Gay Outdoors Month," "National Homo Partnership Month," and "National Frank Ocean Month" and the news just got garbled.
June used to be for weddings.
