The local Korean Americans I have talked with on this issue are skeptical of Kim. Which I think is reasonable considering the history. Yet. I am hopeful. The upcoming meeting will tell us much. So far so good. I’m not a Korean American btw. But wanted to share my real life experience from taken from my California friends that are Korean American. Their general ages are in the early to late 60s with parents in their late 80s—straight from Korea.

Ah yes "peace in our times"... and then 80 MILLION people died. Never trust the word of a maniacal dictator.
Given the decades long history of the Kim's worthless word, treaties and promises there is every reason to be skeptical.
