It is in nobody’s vocabulary. I’ve never heard it expressed in my entire life except by black street people and a Russian immigrant once in a fight with a black guy on a Manhattan street.
Decent Americans - white and black - loathe that word.
For some reason, it’s being touted as something commonplace .. as if white folks sit around and talk like that.
Maybe it’s happening on the streets, but not in the lives of every-day America — life as I know it.
More to the point, NO businessman in New York City would use the word, even in private conversation. Even as far back as the ‘70s.

Like I said recently: I’m a white man surrounded mostly by other white people. I NEVER hear that word under any circumstances.
Yet we’re supposed to believe that this woman is apparently heraing the word constantly, not only from Trump but from other white Apprentice contestants.
What’s more likely? That this semi-famous black woman is unluckily surrounded by semi-famous white people who use the word regularly, or that she’s a lying, race-baiting opportunistic phony?
Not true, it's only a word, a derogatory word, but a word.
Many decent {but ignorant} black Americans use the word all the time, with no malicious intent. When they do, so do I.
There is no sacred word, that only some people can use.
Don't let your hair get wrapped around the axle, it really hurts when it's pulled out by the roots.
“Decent Americans - white and black - loathe that word.”
I’m a decent white American. I don’t say the word, but I don’t loathe that word. Although not pretty, it’s just a word. The only words I loathe are when the Lord’s name is taken in vain.
The PC police decree that certain words are unacceptable and everyone on earth must fall into lock-step. It’s insane.
