'Nelson has no path': Democrats admit Scott beats Florida icon

Sen. Bill Nelson has run out of time, run out of favorable court rulings and is about to officially run out of votes.

After losing to Gov. Rick Scott on Election Day, losing after an automatic recount and appearing to not make up the gap following a manual recount Friday, Nelson’s campaign was dealt a mortal blow later that evening by U.S. District Judge Mark E. Walker, who crushed the Democrat’s last major hope by upholding a Florida law that forbids county election offices from counting vote-by-mail ballots received after 7 p.m. Election Day.

“It’s done. But it was done before today. This was a total Hail Mary,” said a top Democrat involved in Nelson’s campaign who didn’t want to speak publicly before the Democratic Party icon conceded defeat to one of the party's most-hated rivals.

The big prize was the ag commissioner.

they stole that one and no one cares..

this was a trial run for 2020 to see what they could get away with.

Especially since McCain and Flake aren’t around come 2019.

And don't forget Corker, another wolf in sheep's clothing now departing. With those three Quislings, the GOP majority existed only on paper. Now we should have a solid, reliable majority to confirm President Trump's executive and judicial nominees.

I was surprised about Nelson... I never thought he was THAT bad. Actually thought if there was one D Senator with ANY honor whatsoever it might have been him. Oops, wrong on that one.

You can support Schumer as Majority Leader and Democrats in control of Senate if you want but I chose not to do so. Oh, and you will love Kamala Harris If the Republican candidate is not pure enough for you.

Glad I did not serve in the military with you because I would have to worry about your friendly fire hitting me and fellow soldiers in the back.
