Ring-worm is not a matter of public health; it is a matter of personal hygiene. I contracted mine in the swamps of the Mekong Delta, where personal hygiene was impossible. Yes and no. I was a full-blown tmoboy as a kid. Nothing made me happier than getting dirty head to toe playing outside. I contacted ringworm on several occasion, much to the utter dismay of my mother who made me scrub up every night. maybe a missed a spot? Maybe it transfered from me or my clothes to the bed before I took my bath? I AM sure cleanliness helps tremendously, but you can still get the stuff.
