Democrats have lost all rational thought when it comes to immigration and how to secure the U.S. border, but the immigration policy positions held by the extreme Left of the party, embodied by ‘Democratic Socialist’ Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, can best be described as confusing, silly, and, frankly, stupid.
Ocasio-Cortez has been one of the Trump administration’s biggest critics when it comes to the president’s policy of enforcing all immigration laws, especially the one that says you can’t just sneak into America unannounced and uninvited.
In recent days she was quoted as saying she opposed the House-passed $4.5 billion emergency funding bill that aims to provide additional services and accommodations to the thousands of migrants the U.S. is currently caring for because she didn’t just want them to have “warmer burritos” (not even kidding).
Now she says that the nation ought to boycott the maker of better beds for migrant children because…well, because, it’s the anti-Trump thing to do, even if it’s the dumbest thing to do.
Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter on Tuesday to express her support for about 500 Wayfair workers who threatened to walk out on their jobs if the company continued to fill orders from the Department of Homeland Security, which has a contract with the company to provide better beds for migrant children and others in detention (remember, they broke our laws to get here).
She supported the walkout which she said should continue (notice she won’t lose her job over their walkout) until Wayfair agreed to stop fulfilling its bed contract with DHS.
“Wayfair workers couldn’t stomach they were making beds to cage children. They asked the company to stop. CEO said no. Tomorrow, they‘re walking out. This is what solidarity looks like – a reminder that everyday people have real power, as long as we’re brave enough to use it,” Ocasio Cortez wrote.

Recall Ocasio-Cortez was the one who initially claimed that the Trump administration was holding migrants and their children in “concentration camps,” a comparison that earned her a stern rebuke from the U.S. Holocaust Museum, an organization that knows a thing or two about real concentration camps.
She’s been biting at the ankles of one Trump DHS official after another complaining about the “accommodations” for migrants, yet she supports a boycott of a company making beds for them to sleep on?
So, if putting migrants on concrete floors with foil blankets is bad juju, wouldn’t a bed — just about any bed, especially if it’s new — be better?
Ocasio-Cortez’s mouth engages far more quickly than her brain on most days, but this is monumental stupidity. And hypocrisy; two words that pretty much sum up Democrat immigration policy these days.
The people in her tiny district in New York City who voted for her understandably did not know who and what they were getting when they put her in office last November.
Now they know what they have. If they reelect her next year, then they deserve the derision and mocking they will get, even if our country deserves better.
As for Wayfair’s ‘immigration conscious’ employees, if they can’t see past their hatred of Donald Trump to manufacture beds so that migrants and their kids don’t have to sleep on cots or hard concrete floors, perhaps they should find another line of work.
Update: Yeah, far fewer Wayfair employees were as “brave” as initial reports made them out to be. The Blaze noted that as few as 50 and as many as 100 employees, depending on which witness count used, actually took part in the protest/walkout. Looks like most people care more about losing their job than AOC.
Americans need to boycott the ditzy Cortez.

Cortez is popular, and the de facto leader of the Democrat party. Given that she is stupid, silly, (and I’d add evil), it is just a reflection of Democrats as a whole.

One would think that aiding poor migrant children who managed not to drown in the Rio Grand with their father with a bed to sleep in the cage Trump put them in would be kind and considerate.
Ahh - screw the kids. Let them sleep on the floor like they did in the real Concentration Camps.

I know what they are - but I never used their site. So I can’t boycott them.
But in spite of that chick with the horse teeth calling for a boycott - I will do that.
But only because Wayfair succumbed to these idiots demands and sucked up to these idiots. They gave in.

From what I’ve seen...the bunks and general food are similar in nature to what you get in bootcamp or basic training. If she’s saying they are substandard....then maybe it’s substandard for our GI’s as well.

I note that AOC, Tlaib, Omar, and Pressey all voted against Nancy Pelosi's dishonest bill to provide an emergency $4.5 billion appropriation for humanitarian care at detention centers (plus some poison pills making enforcement more difficult, and no fence appropriation). Why would they do that? The answer is, they want things to get worse.
What do those four hold in common? They were promoted by the same group as a strategy for radicalizing the Congress by working the primaries, which get little attention and have low voter turnout.
