TOURNAMENT OF CHART-TOPPERS 1960S PING LIST
(This is a temporary ping list... so don’t worry!)

RUN-OFF FROM ROUND 2 RESULTS:

“HELP!” WINS! Beats “Wooly Bully”.

Thanks to all who helped break the tie!

Now Round 3 posted separately next.

Interesting tidbits on the survey:

-MOST VOTES - "(Sittin' on) the Dock of the Bay”
-FEWEST VOTES - “Honey" - its opponent!
-ALL songs got some votes; no zeroes
-several pairs were constantly neck&neck to the wire, including of course the run-off pair (I'm glad we only had 1 tie to break!)

I was rooting for “Wooly Bully.” The Beatles’ opus was OK, but Sam the Sham’s was downright boss!

That truly is amazing. I was surprised that "The Dock of the Bay" rated so high. Perhaps its perennial popularity on "Oldies" playlists is a contributing factor.

Although "Honey" got the fewest votes, Bobby Goldsboro's opus still has its fans on this board.
