Everything else is matched by the year. These two are 5 years apart.
I spent most of Thursday agonizing about how to pair them.
I gave up in the end and did the best I could.
There are only 4 #7 songs to match up with the top 6 from each of 10 years, so it always is a struggle to do this. I think this was harder than my previous incarnations because the #7s that came out were more strangely spaced than previous tournaments.
And actually if you look better, there is a pairing 3 years separated. All because of which #7 songs were retained.
