Who Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders might be considering for VP picks
Business Insider ^ | March 5, 2020 | Eliza Relman and Jake Lahut

With Super Tuesday setting the inescapable delegate math into motion, the Democrats will almost certainly have a septuagenarian white man leading the ticket in November to take on President Donald Trump.

But the other half of that ticket is pretty wide open.

Political scientists and Democratic operatives told Insider that both former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont would be smart to look for a younger running mate, preferably a woman or a person of color — or both.

Both candidates have already suggested their future running mates would be women and younger than they are. In December, Biden told a New Hampshire voter he could think of "seven women off the top of my head" who could be his running mate.

Beyond the candidate's identity, their ideology and regional strength will also come into play, and the nominee's goal will be a running mate who offers both balance and broad appeal.

Has Business Insider ever been about the private sector? Seems to me it is a progressive rag.

Most news outlets are.

Just a week ago, the MSM and DNC were prepping Biden for the Democrat graveyard for unlucky candidates and saying Sanders was unbeatable.

So what happened to make Biden look like a winner instead of an alzheimer’s patient on the lam.

Also, Bernie the commie was unbeatable. Now he could become another lost cause. What happened to Bernie?

If they really meant it, they would both choose Mad Maxine.

No matter the candidate, it will be Stacey Abrams - guaranteed. Both need to make sure that blacks actually show up at the polls.

Former Tallahassee mayor and failed FL gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum is another strong possibility. Either of them would really help GOTV for Dems in GA, Carolinas and FL.

They sure won’t pick HilLiarY. Either one of them will be lucky to last through his first year without Arkancide

Stacey Abrams ticked off lots of Georgians, including many Dems, because of the sour grapes way she failed to concede despite Kemp winning a majority of the vote.

Gillium another loser. Plenty of folks would not feel good about having either one of those losers suddenly elevated to POTUS. They would hurt the jackass ticket more than help it.

Demings endorsed Biden today. She was also one of the House Democrats that argued the case for impeaching President Trump. Florida is a key state.

Just because we don’t like Abrams and Gillum does not mean they are not popular with Democrats.

Was Biden asking how young they could be?

Here’s a wild idea. The nominee (Biden or Sanders) picks the other one as his VP. It would combine the two factions of the jackasses, more or less.

A young woman of color???

Candace Owens

And don’t tell me she’s too young: women lie about their age ALL the time

If O’Bungler avoided the Natural Born Citizen issue, Candace should get a pass on the age issue

Of course they're going to choose younger, black women.

Look at the solidarity the Halfrican American commanded from blacks. It would take some of the whiteness off the OWG presidential candidate. And, admit it...what are the odds (in either case) that if the RATs win the election, you're looking at the first woman President?

Have the RATs considered that? Damn straight.
