I ran into a link to an article based on an Italian Radio broadcast from 2015 about research into a bat coronovirus, including mention of the “hook” on the virus. I guess it was on reddit, because today, I found the article and it’s purged for conspiracy theory.

There is a Sino-French research lab in Wuhan. Whether it is studying bioweaponization as well is another question.
