The naivety of supposedly educated and intelligent adults is frightening.
It is a mob. You are with the mob until the mob turns on you. Taking a knee, giving a thumbs up, donating money, or being a kindred spirit does not magically protect you from the mob.
Walking with the mob is not protection. Wearing “media” jackets is not protection. The mob is fickle. The mob does not care. The mob does not have some kind of higher understanding of the purpose, the politics, or the spirit of the moment.
The mob contains peaceniks, radicals, idiots, anarchist, the well-intentioned, the ill-intentioned, and hardened criminals.
This story sums up all of the above. Even the well-intentioned are too dopey to understand they provide cover for those who only wish to steal and destroy.
