That’s what the “Browning of America” or “Demographics are Destiny” always ignore. The black portion of the population is not growing at all. All of the growth in the minority population comes from Hispanics and Asians. Unlike blacks, large minorities of both groups already vote Republican, and both groups tend to vote more Republican with each generation removed from their immigrant ancestors.
Conversely, as Andrew Klavan has hypothesized, part of why the Democrats are pandering so heavily to Hispanic illegal immigrants is that they will eventually need a replacement for the black vote, who must surely realize at some point how badly the Democrats have abused them. I’m not holding my breath waiting on that, though.
