A comedian said you aren't a real parent until you go from man-to-man to zone coverage with the kids.

I read a story a few years ago, from a "concerned" leftist, about the long-term cultural and political impact of liberal families being "green" and having one child while the right "selfishly" outproduces them. In short, the nation will have more right-leaning kids in a generation unless the left "gets busy" or they talk the right into having fewer kids.

Perhaps that's why control of education is part of their playbook...if you can put outproduce them, brainwash their progeny.

Okay, I’ll be the one called sexist and/or racist but it needs to be said. What are we suppose to do with all the out of wedlock babies by Junior High School aged girls, predominantly black but also increasingly white as well? Would there be a mandatory tuba ligation or something like it immediately after the first birth? And if the child dies the next day? Or would it mandate by law an abortion for any pregnancies after the first child, thus making government paid abortion a requirement. What about the males? Would men not have to suffer for their part in violating the new law? What would we do about Hunter Biden? Would he and other perverts be allowed to continue to have unprotected sex with women who have a child already or would they be neutered by law after the spouses first child? What about women are impregnated by rape but can not accept an abortion for religious reasons? Would that be their only child even if they give it up? Would the rich be able to buy additional children quotas by buying/adopting them from alleged raped young women and not have them counted as multiple births thus setting the stage for baby farms? I could go on with how problematic this would be but the bottom line is it would never work and I don’t think we should emulate Chinese communist treachery. God help us if we keep violating his word, We will be judged as a nation and we will all pay a high price for mandating such evil behavior.

I think being “too green” to have children is just a rationalization for wanting to avoid responsibility. It would be okay if they would just accept that and leave other people alone to make their own decisions.

Perhaps the only good thing to come of that book was Ehrlich's bet and loss to the late Julian Simon over the book's premise.

"The face-off occurred in the pages of Social Science Quarterly, where Simon challenged Ehrlich to put his money where his mouth was.

I'm not a collector of relics etc., but I'd pay good money from Julian Simon's estate for the actual check.

Every so often, truth wins bigly. This was one of those times. If Julian lost the bet, you know we'd hear about it every time the left tried to jam this twaddle down our throats.

Dr Simon left behind a widow. I hope she has the check. If it ever came up for auction, I'd seriously consider bidding on it...it is a magnificent piece of classical liberal history.
