But imho when they start their rampaging in more than a couple locations, in several states, that will give POTUS all the Constiutitonal basis he needs to invoke the Insurrection Act. I am reasonably certain he will do this, if the orcs rumble as planned.

Cobra, good company as far as I know. I would take some exception with the 38 mile range. All inexpensive walkie talkies are line of sight reception and transmission. So if you are on top of a fairly high hill, you might get thirty eight miles, but even then it might be a stretch. The amount of transmit power any particular radio is allowed to have, is also an issue. You just might want to check with a local radio company supplying business band to customers rural and otherwise, to see what people in your area are buying, before you buy. They generally know the lay of the land, what works and what doesn’t.

The reference to MRE’s is as confusing as your original post which I took issue with from the standpoint of not knowing or understanding what you were getting at. I didn’t comment for that very reason.
Now we have a bit more lack of understanding. It appears, correct me if I’m wrong please, that MRE’s are the preppers choice for food storage in preparation for possible future events?
That would be a misconception, since the standard for food storage is store what you eat “normally”. To do otherwise is to subject yourself to more upheaval in an already out of control world when the SHTF.
As I see it, no one on this thread is a Prophet of CWII. They are attempting to prepare folks for any eventuality outside the peaceful world so many desire to maintain without a call to arms.
to summarize my initial post, there ain't gonna be a CW-II for the reasons I outlined...........Clear now?
