I thought about and rejected that approach before posting. Hiding the truth to protect the guilty is folly. It would be much better for the world to see the US as strong enough to battle corruption and clean up its own act.

The notion of a political “coup” against the President is nothing new. JFK was assassinated; Nixon was forced to resign; and for four years, Trump’s defenders screamed “attempted coup!” in response to the Democrats’ use of the USIC to pretend Trump was Russia’s pawn. Our dirty laundry, and our dirty tricks, have been in full view of enemies and friends alike. Who would be in the least surprised for the CIA to be rigging elections and installing governments? Iran? Chile? Guatemala? Vietnam? All the while Biden was using his family as bag men while he sold out the US. Other countries know that already too; many of them wrote checks. Exposing the CIA and stopping Biden’s theft of the election is the ONLY thing that would get us any respect.

I would argue that different circumstances apply now. Back in the days of JFK and Nixon there was more solidarity in America. That was roughly 50 years ago and the vast majority of people still loved and cherished the country. Some may have harbored suspicions about these unsettling national events but by and large we accepted these as vagaries of history. The foundations and institutions of the country remained solid and no adversaries dared to exploit our misfortunes or challenge our resolve.

Today its a different ballgame. The country is coming apart at the seams and sharp ideological divisions divide us. Our federal agencies have all been weaponized to serve political ends and our legal system suffers from a widespread lack of confidence and trust. Moreover, our military also suffers from political correctness and senior leaders seem inclined to question, if not criticize, the Commander-in-Chief.

Without belaboring the point, we are far more vulnerable now than we were in the past. And there are nefarious forces within that would be happy to see the U.S. taken down a notch or two.

We used to be the United States of America. We are no longer united and that puts us at great risk.
