The Washington Post has reported that the outgoing Capitol Police Chief, Steve Sund, believes his efforts to secure the premises were undermined by a lack of concern from House and Senate security officials who answer directly to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate leader Mitch McConnell. The National Pulse can also report the Washington Post’s timeline proves it was impossible for Trump speech attendees to have made it to the Capitol in time for the breach. [Emphasis added].

The Democrats are trying to impeach President Trump on the basis that his speech on January 6 "incited an insurrection." Well, as with most things that the Dems say, this is nonsense. Not only did President Trump NOT urge any violence (he did the exact opposite), but the simple fact is that the violence at the Capitol started even before his speech ended! See this article for the particulars. The Dems' claims are more laughable than usual - if that's even possible.

In addition, as noted in the article, the efforts of the outgoing Chief of the Capitol Police was repeatedly and consistently rebuffed in his attempts to better secure the Capitol before the rally occurred. This strongly suggests that he was denied extra personnel ON PURPOSE, personnel that would have certainly had a better chance to stop any vandalism, etc. IOW, TPTB wanted an incident to occur, otherwise they would have given this man the support that he needed.

Another thing I caught...Most everyone in the building at the time that the intrusion began had been whisked from the building by a series of tunnels.

Please notice that not one politician, aides etc etc was encountered in the melee.

Would like to know how many people actually entered the building...it does not seem to be thousands....just a couple groups......because there's thousands outside who were caught in the circle around the Capitol. I'm sure many wanted to go AWAY from the Capitol and were trapped.

I watched the Trump speech on TV. It ended BEFORE I saw any reports on a breach.

Maybe, they didn’t have time to walk down there? I couldn’t say. But, he wasn’t still speaking when the break-in occurred.

I was watching several streams plus the TV at the same time. Trump was still speaking as the breach was happening and Pence, et al were going at it as well. It got hot and heavy way before Trump’s speech was over.

Thanks... I didn’t watch Trump’s speech all the way to the end. I thought it was a bit anti-climactic. I was focused mostly on the proceedings in the House. Where, actual evidence of the illegal voting was being brought forth.

I agree. I was walking past the Capitol and flash bangs were already going off and this was before Trump’s speech had ended.
