Down stater means just about everywhere outside of metro shitcago except for a few filthy college, union and minority areas so these are mostly conservative people.
Down staters in Illinois are fleeing in droves. I live 12 miles from the IN border and would like to move to IN but the real estate prices in indiana within 20 miles of the state line are crazy
I live in DeKalb IL and was just looking at prices in Covington and Crawfordsville, IN. The prices and especially the real estate taxes looked pretty good to me. Probably a matter of perspective, I guess.
