Lawyers suggest that District Attorney Cy Vance might use New York’s “little RICO” statute to prosecute enterprise corruption.
Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance could be considering a criminal charge that former President Donald Trump’s business empire was a corrupt enterprise under a New York law resembling the federal racketeering statute known as RICO, former prosecutors and defense attorneys said.
New York’s enterprise corruption statute — which carries the potential for severe penalties — can be applied to money-making businesses alleged to have repeatedly engaged in criminal activity as a way to boost their bottom line.
“I’m sure they’re thinking about that,” veteran Manhattan defense attorney Robert Anello said. “No self-respecting state white-collar prosecutor would forgo considering the enterprise corruption charge.”
The state law — sometimes called “little RICO” — can be invoked with proof of as few as three crimes involving a business or other enterprise and can carry a prison term of up to 25 years, along with a mandatory minimum of one to three years....

It looks like they are trying to make the case that the Trump organization fraudulently inflated the vale of assets to be used as collateral for loans. Since Trump had little involvement in these type of day to day activities they will have to pressure executives to testify against him.
Another witch hunt. Keep him in a bad light. He won in 2020. If we survive to 2024 and he runs he will win then and I don’t think they could cheat enough this time. They will be being watched and dominion is going down soon.

I keep hearing this as the "charge". We're supposed to believe a bank would lend millions on a building without doing its own appraisal.
First they have to prove a crime. Trump is going to defend himself too. He’s not president anymore, and he’s going to throw everything he has at them.
The borrower doesn’t determine the value of an asset that is used as collateral for a loan. Go tell your bank you want a $500,000 second mortgage on your $300,000 home and see how far that gets you. HINT: Telling them the home is really worth $2 million isn’t going to do the trick.

Let’s also keep in mind that the statute of limitations for financial crimes in New York is five years. So the NY DA is apparently looking for crimes that Trump allegedly committed after Memorial Day weekend in 2016. Good luck with that. LOL.

Anyone who knows anything about real estate knows that the true value of a property is almost always much higher than the value on the tax roles.
So, when you are talking to a bank you tell them the real value usually based on a professional appraisers opinion. But when dealing with the government, you use the governments own numbers, since that’s what they say it’s worth.
There is nothing criminal about this. If this were a crime every single home owner that is paying taxes on their home is committing the same crime by not paying taxes on the real value of their home instead of what the city values it at.
The big surprise will be when the United States military declares Donald Trump IS the legitimate President, uses armed soldiers to protect him from unlawful arrest and organizes military tribunals against the New York traitors trying to prosecute a sitting president as political retribution.
This could include charges of divulging grand jury matters required by law to be kept secret.
This might be the greatest sting operation ever conducted.
Military tribunals will not rely upon Trump-hating civilian juries trying to exert political vengeance.
