The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on Tuesday launched joint live-fire assault drills in multiple locations off the coast of Taiwan.

China is emboldened with US weakness in the region, the historic collapse of Afghanistan, and the frail puppet installed in Washington DC.
On Monday Steve Bannon warned that the US economy will implode if Taiwan falls to the Communist Chinese. According to Bannon he entire American economy centers around the chips, and in particular, the advanced chips designed, made, and manufactured in Taiwan.

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on Tuesday launched joint live-fire assault drills in multiple locations near the island of Taiwan in response to recent collusion and provocations by the US and Taiwan secessionists.
The PLA Eastern Theater Command on Tuesday dispatched warships, anti-submarine warfare aircraft and fighter jets in surrounding maritime and aerial areas near the southwest and southeast of the island of Taiwan for military exercises including joint live-fire assaults, and also for testing the command troops’ integrated joint operation capabilities, Senior Colonel Shi Yi, spokesperson of the command, announced on the same day.
Recently, the US and Taiwan authorities have been frequently colluding and making provocations, sending wrong signals that severely violates China’s sovereignty and seriously damage peace and stability in the Taiwan Straits. They have become the biggest source of security risk in the region, Shi said.
The exercises are a necessary action taken based on the current security situation in the Taiwan Straits and the need to safeguard national sovereignty, and are a solemn response to the foreign interferences and the provocations by “Taiwan independence” forces, the spokesperson said.

China probably wants Taiwan for the technology. Lots of tech R&D to steal, chip factories and secrets. Lots of money in infrastructure to steal. And to shut down the music.

We watch as America’s rage and fears are being stoked and exploited by the Islamic terrorists of the Taliban. They will taunt the US with video of thousands of American and Western nationals as hostages, and slaughter their Afghan enemies in the streets.
Suddenly, China will either completely intimidate and coerce the government of Taiwan into acquiescence, or will commit to an all out invasion. If the later, millions will die. And Biden will do nothing. Joe Biden has brought new meaning to the term “worst case scenario”.
I recall hearing something some months ago, that there are only two months in the year that the Taiwan Straight is calm enough to be easily crossed. I believe that there was a month in the Spring and October in the Fall.
The ChiComs want it before the PRC turns 100 and would also like in during the year of the CCP’s 100 anniversary. Couple that with XiJinBiden residing in the White Retirement House, and the chances are good that they could try it now.
Taiwan will be difficult to invade. It is VERY rocky and defensible, the military have over 2 million men in their system, with almost 400k standing and reserve, they have a strong AF and coastal navy. Almost 30 million people who DO NOT want to be part of communist China.
In addition, Japan, S. Korea and numerous Asian countries are on side with Taiwan. Japan has a ‘helicopter’ (wink, wink) carrier steaming nearby, the UK has HMS Queen Elizabeth nearby, and the USN has at least one carrier and one amphibious assault ship nearby.
Hopefully, the ChiComs realize that THEY will lose BIG TIME, if they try to invade. If they try to attack Japan also, Japan can have nukes VERY quickly.
