Lawyers in the military used to be down at their offices.
Now, they sit in on staff meetings.
They have scared the crap out of many Commanders.
“You can do that, Sir, but I am against it.”
This means that the lawyer will rat you out if everything doesn’t go according to plan.
Take the lawyers off the staffs and put them back in their offices.
Lawyers also intimidate doctors, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers and insurance companies, among many others, to such a point that they are forcing up the costs of everything. Almost all product sales now come with some form of disclaimer.
Modern military lawyers are nothing but Soviet Zampolit. Political counterparts to actual warfighters.
Most military lawyers are bought and paid for. Trust me, I’ve seen it first hand, I know.
