A lot of people are reasonably concerned that the technology being created by NeuroLink could become a precursor to the mark of the beast technology.
The reason why I support Elon Musk’s efforts in this case are as follows: the technology he is designing is reversible, others will develop this technology anyway and reversibility will probably not be a priority, the targeted use of this technology for now is to help people with disabilities.
If a simple non-invasive surgical implant can allow someone who is paralyzed to live a more normal life then I am supportive.
Having a surgery or an implant or tattoo does not equate to Satan worship which is what the mark of the beast will entail.
Can or will this technology be misused? Of course it will. Is the Internet misused? Of course it is. But you and I are using it right now. Is it the mark of the beast?
The billionaire class are all deceived, which leads me to believe that most of them are occultists.
All they are doing, as they work to replace humanity with artificial life is feeding themselves to the crocodiles last.
I think a good dividing line is whether something is associated with “transhumanism” or not. The transhumanists want to create a new humanity, where everyone is enhanced through genetics and through electric devices. This is not the same thing as using genetics or devices to eliminate a disease or to restore some function. You could also say there is a gray area we should be careful about.
This is where I think that Tolkien was very prescient in his masterpiece LOTR, where Sauron chose to create his own life forms to control in order to wage war against the creations of Eru and eventually replace them with creations of his own.
Transhumanism are an intermediary step to replacing man altogether. That’s the real objective, I believe.
If I had to pick someone to be in charge of potentially evil technology, I’d pick Elon Musk over any of the other capitalist titans of the world. This could help a lot of paralyzed people and may help with pain and maybe even some mental conditions like schizophrenia, (which I think is the most amazing of all diseases.)
Of course, it will be eventually used to beam video games directly into your brain and to control political thoughts, pleasure and pain. Also eventually it will be mandatory after having been voted in by RINO’s in the Senate.
Off topic but - I saw that they are working on a new LOTR project called “The Rings of Power”.
I hope Chris Tolkien keeps in true to his father’s intent but it will be great to see some “pre-Fellowship” history .

Chris Tolkien entrusted his father’s works to the estate, because he’s in his 90’s now. The estate is the one who has been commercializing Tolkien’s works and, by reports, Chris Tolkien is not happy about, but it is out of his hands
