Are You Willing To Die For Ukraine
Turcopolier ^ | 2/24/2022 | Larry Johnson

This simple and profound question is the fundamental issue when it comes to deciding how to respond to Putin's declaration of war in Ukraine. All of the usual suspects in terms of bloviating politicians and frenzied pundits are filling the airways with the modern version of "Remember the Maine". They are desperate to rally the American people for a new military venture overseas. Our military industrial complex has no qualms about feeding gullible Americans into a war meat grinder. The usual approach is to sucker patriotic folks into believing they are defending freedom, protecting democracy or destroying tyranny.

And they do this without any self-awareness or irony. Hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants flood across our southern border and the cast of despicable characters hollering about the sanctity of Ukraine's border with Russia do not the same *amn thing about protecting our border. Just count up the number of Republican Senators and Representatives who are saying we must act strongly against Russia and have remained mute on our own border security.

The Washington political class--both Democrat and Republican-think you are a fool. Apart from ignoring the threat of illegal immigration and the accompanying flood of illegal narcotics, the political class tolerates the descent into hell of our major cities wracked by violent crime. No, they want you to fight the Russians...

No one should go to war in far away foreign country with BORROWED money. Take a look at our national debt first before feeling macho.

Russia once had a Czar, but then had a revolution. But piggybacking on that first revolution were foreign inspired communist revolutionaries. The revolutionaries murdered the Czar and his family, and established an illegitimate revolutionary government that soon got to work creating a manmade famibe to murder the people that had settled it under the Czar, and forcibly deported others to camps to be worked to death. Russia willingly overthrew the Czar and then laid waste to Ukraine, in the process losing any legitimate claim.

My kid will volunteer to fly a drone and fire hellfires at Russian tanks.

No Americans have to set foot in Ukraine. Have drone, will travel.

Turkey is going to make $Billions off what they are doing to Russian Tanks in Ukraine.

When I was in school in the 1970s, Ukraine was considered the “breadbasket” of the Soviet Union. I got that correct on a history question.

The Ukrainians themselves seem very keen to defend their country from Putin.

The Russian advantage is the superior equipment, not a greater willingness to take Ukraine than the Ukrainians have to hold it.

In situations where the Ukrainians have effective weapons leveling the field like portable anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles they are killing Putin’s tanks and downing Putin’s helicopters.

That’s how they were able to keep one of Putin’s most elite airborne regiments from taking the airport near Kiev and how they are killing Putin’s tanks around Kharkiv.

Why die for Ukraine? Why should a Ukrainian die for America? Why should he “give a rat’s ass” about us?

The Army of the EU is run by Germany and Germans don’t want to freeze to death.

Putin knows the EU army is for fighting “Climate Change” and “Xenophobia”

Since before Kievian-Rus, Russia and Ukraine have been linked and have shared cultures and languages. Eastern Slavs. I have no problem with Ukrainian independence. My Grandmother was Ukrainian. But about 50% identify with Russia

What was the question?

Oh, yeah...something about fighting for Europe?

Not no, but hell no!

I don’t mind Ukrainian independence. Perhaps the Deep State and RINOs can all go over with guns help them to secure their borders? 50% of Ukraine have pro-Russian sentiment…so it might help rid us of our problem. Before you grab your gun to defend Ukraines border, stop and help ours first

“Russia willingly overthrew the Czar and then laid waste to Ukraine, in the process losing any legitimate claim.”

I guess Russia didn’t get your memo about any legitimate claims. Why don’t you go inform their military they can’t do what they are doing because Brando certainly isn’t.

It appears that the average Russian citizen has no enthusiasm for Putin’s bizarre big adventure.
