Fox News reporter Steve Harrigan returned from Ukraine with a grim message about the future of Ukraine, but also a prediction that the Russian people “are going to rise up” and overthrow Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I think Putin is being bled. And he will be bled for years and it will take years. Maybe the oligarchs who are making as much money will hurt. Maybe the Russian people will rise up,” said Harrigan on America’s Newsroom on Monday. “I think for me, Ukraine is a done deal. It’s flattened and they lost. But the next story, I think, is Russia. The Russian people are going to rise up and throw this guy out.”

I was watching it live, and I thought it was a bit premature myself, but Harrigan was there, and he’s been around a long time. I don’t know what to think.
Harrigan may not be the problem. The network decides what the news will be and the on-air personalities must toe the line.
I wouldn’t be surprised either. I’ve been feeling like China is waiting for the right moment to make some kind of move. Maybe do to Russia what China has been doing to us- make Russia dependent upon China for as much as they can. Maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about, two large countries with nuclear weapons right next door to each other.
I just thought in a thread devoted to Ukraine, with everyone writing about Ukraine, I thought it was about Ukraine.
As to your last post, I agree, if you include the many Republicans who are also in on the evil deals and personal enrichments.
The sad part for the civilians, is cut and run America, is going to let them suffer the consequences for their misplaced trust in us.

All the more reason why Putin should be very afraid. The grandfathers of these Ukrainians showed in the Eastern Front that they’re tough monkeys and their grandchildren are showing it now.

Yeah right! Present day Europe is such an aggressive neighbor-not! Present day Russia is the neighbor with the aggressive history. Present day, is defined as after WW2. Needing Ukraine (or any other Eastern European country) as a “buffer” country is pure Russian propaganda bull shit, especially with today’s available weaponry.
I’m reminded of Walter Cronkite announcing we lost the Tet Offensive.
