Question: I’m an attorney with over $200,000 in federal student loan debt, and I desperately want to file for bankruptcy on these loans. I’m on an income-driven repayment plan and would like my student loans to be forgiven or eliminated, if that option is available to me. Can you please help?

Did you sign your name on the loans and do little to nothing to earn money comparable to the price of tuition as you sought an education? Did you party in college?

...as my Mom used to say, “people in hell want ice water”. I have a car payment, a house payment and a VISA bill. I pay them on time each month but I would like my loans to be forgiven or eliminated. Thank you.
His response to this would be what? “I’m a lawyer and I help people. Your car payment doesn’t”?! I don’t understand how people can be so clueless.
