The world’s richest man is set to complete his hostile takeover of Twitter for $43 billion, according to news reports.

Reuters released an exclusive saying that Twitter is “nearing a deal to sell” itself to Tesla CEO Elon Musk for “$54.20 per share in cash.” That was the original price Musk offered when he launched his bid to own the company. Twitter may announce the deal “later on Monday once its board has met to recommend the transaction to Twitter shareholders, the sources said.”

Maybe I'll sign up for the damn thing. I never did before. Why bother?

I was kicked off Facebook years ago. They didn't like some of my posts. They said they would reinstate me under certain conditions, e.g. if I'd give them a copy of my drivers license or somethingorother--I don't know, maybe my passport or something. I figured hell no. I didn't want to be on the stupid thing in the first place.

I had signed up by accident--accidentally punched some numbers while doing something else--I think a Facebook account was requested for something I was doing--something like that. Then suddenly, when I was signed up for it, I was deluged with "friend requests" from various people. I responded--was friendly--kinda enjoyed getting in touch with long lost acquaintances.

However when I was honest about what I thought and posted the TRUTH. Facebook didn't like that! They started giving me trouble. It appeared to me that TRUTH interfered with the narrative they wanted to put forth. I wouldn't stop posting exactly what I thought, viz. TRUTH as clearly as I could perceive it and put it into words, but they didn't like that; so they kicked me off.

I was glad to stay off.

I never bothered with Twitter.

But if Twitter is going to honor and allow TRUTH, maybe I'll give it a try.

It’ll be a tough acrobatic move going from Disney Corporation good: Twitter corporation (Now that Musk is in charge) bad! It will be fun to watch the twist and turn of douchery!

This was not a small victory, by any means. Twitter was beginning to be its own worst enemy, and has just been reversed from what may have been a death spiral

Capitalism is the greatest and most equitable economic practice in history.

“Or will Musk disappoint and still censor some things that will infuriate conservatives and then turn him into the boogeyman?”

From what I can tell, as just some schmo in fly over country, Musk seems to be very libertarian. If my impression is correct, I’d expect free speech within the limits of the law, and the limits of public safety.

Yup.
Quite a few of them.
And they’ve been fighting against the Musk takeover of Twitter from the get go including today.

That picture is misleading to most. It’s hard to find, but video of NOOOooo! pre-roll 5 secs show the actor looking up emotionless to locate the cameras before beginning her street performance.

Completely staged.

I think you’re right.

Now we get to see how much Musk really embraces free speech.

I wonder if libs are going to rethink their position on section 230 protections now, just because they will want to sue Musk.

Did Elon Musk become an American citizen? If he did, then he is a REAL African-American.

This is a game changer. Musk hates the intolerant Left and their Woke BS. Two people I never bet against, Tom Brady and Elon Musk.

His threat to sue the crap out of them for working against shareholder interests - thus breaching their fiduciary duty - scared them obviously. So it looks like they’re going to back down rather than face the titanic liability they’d otherwise face.
