Following a public consultation, the UK Government has confirmed plans to draw up new legislation making virtual forms of ID accessible via a phone app or website for instance, as trusted and secure as physical documents.
At the moment there is a huge push by those seeking to make money by offering Digital ID services, and the Government to justify why Digital ID checks are a fantastic idea. All of the mainstream news on the subject only lists the alleged positives.

I like the idea of a chip in ones finger. What it could be used for is the big issue.
Voter ID would be easy. No need to show ones chip except for their own approved transactions but then it would be easy to take the info if one was being assaulted or arrested.
Felons should have a tattoo on the bottom of their foot-private enough. HIV positive should have a bullseye tattooed on their-guess what?
