After it was revealed on Thursday that not only did police delay their response to sending tactical teams into the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Tex. amid a school shooting that left 19 children and two teachers dead but prevented parents from entering, the Wall Street Journal reported that one mother sprinted into the school to get her children, over objections from law enforcement.
Angeli Rose Gomez drove 40 miles to the school upon hearing of the shooting, and she arrived, said "The police were doing nothing. They were just standing outside the fence. They weren't going in there or running anywhere."

There just seems to be some odd stuff with this narrative that shifts like quicksand.
Please check that link.
That’s not accurate
Teachable moments:
Columbine, Pulse Night Club, Las Vegas, Parkland, now Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. What do they all have in common?
Armed LEO stand down(s) while victims get slaughtered.
[ I’ll do the math for you: at least 163 dead; 700+ injured. ]
So, what have we learned, Real Americans?
Like in warfare, when seconds count, we don’t wait for law enforcement - WE GO IN. We go in, and we neutralize the hostile situation using whatever means at our disposal - period.
(Anyone got a problem with that? Answer that question in front of a mirror.)
And for those thinking for any reason that a mother won’t run into the face of danger to protect their own not only doesn’t understand real mothers, perhaps they don’t even understand a female of any species on this planet.
that’s my $0.02.

There are other brands but these guys seem to be on the leading edge for weight and concealment. Concealment was my first concern, but lower weight follows with that.
Its almost impossible to wear a vest and conceal it unless you have the right body type (and I mean Level III, you will never conceal rifle plate armor). But I manage to make the Hyperline product work for me. I cant hide it under a t-shirt like the guy in the advertisement, but a light hoodie or heavier clothing and unless you know what you are looking for you couldnt tell.
Just so you know, I wear it when I am on church security duty in such a way that its not obvious, along with my CCW. But any body armor will trap heat and a few hours is about it or expect the vest to get smelly with sweat. Otherwise, it will be in a go bag with everything else ‘just in case’. Just dont expect to be able to wear it around all day long while taking the Mrs shopping. Secondly, if you get it, train with it. like all equipment, you have to get used to it.
The North Hollywood BofA shootout changed all that and suddenly nearly every department wanted them, even in the small towns.
What isn’t?
The quote from the BP honcho?
Thank you for the advice. I’m going to look into it.
Good grief. Freepers are becoming just as hysterical as the loon bags of CNN and the View. We can plainly see that this story is changing drastically on a daily basis, yet so many people here can’t contain their emotions. Toddlers engage in hysterical rants, adults ask pertinent and reasonable questions. The one constant fact is the shooter was barricaded inside the school and Police needed a key to get access to the shooter. After 300 something posts over several threads nobody bothered to ask the question if there were other access points. Were there windows allowing access? You would think Freepers would want to know what really happened. Are logic and reason no longer our creed here?
If a BORTAC Agent got shot in the head and leg while servicing the bad guy, how difficult of a situation was this really?Stop shrieking like petulant leftists and debate like adults.
ONE guy, just ONE could have went in an neutralized the punk murderer. Nobody can tell me that a trained guy, with armor, practice and a weapons, cannot tell where the perp is, but figure out a way to draw fire and make the guy finally face live fire? He was left alone, unopposed. Ask anyone that has been in combat, the shit changes when you are taking fire. All of sudden you can’t think or shoot straight. Just ONE MAN, could have saved lives.
Dying is not the worst that can happen, it is living with the memory of cowardice.
I should have asked the question, what would the cops have done if it was a school full of THEIR children?
I posted a pic of the school in one thread. Like all older Southern schools, it was loaded with windows.
I can’t imagine anyone not doing the same.
I was under the impression that all those people were killed in seconds. Now I am not so sure. If the police played chicken while those kids were executed then they do not deserve to be cops. It is that school shooting in Florida all over again.
Yes.
You are confusing possible futures with finished events, be well. Freegards
The cops had no idea if the suspect, after shooting all the kids, was not going back systematically killing those still breathing. It's looking like this is another Columbine or Parkland. The first 3 or 4 cops on scene should have immediately went in. They were told a shooter was in the school, yet it seems they stood down, waiting for the shiny new swat vehicle to show up.
Nothing did except she saved her children’s lives.
She got them out, we don't know about the "life saving".
The kids might have been in a different building from the shooter for all we know.
She needs to go to jail.
Is that this article? I’m referring to this article that says she got away from u.s. marshals.
Thanks for the link. I’ll check it out though
