Heston’s best role was Judah Ben Hur. IMHO. I have always thought of it as the best movie ever made, perhaps tied with Lawrence of Arabia.

I think his four best movies were “ The Ten Commandments”, “Ben Hur”, “The Greatest Story Ever Told” and “The Agony And The Ecstasy”.

The Ben Hur chariot scene will likely never be topped for sheer epicness, although it runs a bit long.
