The Shasta County Board of Supervisors following hours of debate passed by a 3-2 vote to go with hand counted paper ballots. The vote came after numerous presenters came forward to discuss the merits of manual counting and electronic systems. Clint Curtis who was the computer programer who created the algorithm designed to modify election results results flew from Florida just to talk to the board.
Last month the Shasta County Supervisors voted to discontinue the use of the Dominion machines for all further elections. Shasta County is the first to drop the use of electronic voting systems in California. There are several additional counties in California who are considering disuse of the Dominion and other electronic voting systems.
This was a big win for election integrity experts who know the many abuses that electronic election systems can bring.

It is imperative that the voters of Shasta County continue to enjoy the right of franchise, and that elections in Shasta County continue to be performed with transparency, accuracy, efficiency and

with a servant’s heart.

_( really ? This is the lady I emailed asking for my counties cast vote record. She emailed me a download link and warned me in that email that I might be committing a felony, and provided penal code number, that I MIGHT be violating if I downloaded or shared the info of the download, or even the specific content of said email. And that I would be prosecuted by the sherrif office if I interfered with others voting or harrased anyone about their vote. In other words if I tried to do a canvass of votes. This is not the heart of a transparent servant, but of a threatening tyrant )

That is the job I was elected to do,

( I think the machines are the ones that elected her imho )

and I intend to continue doing it.

//

n summary, the statutes require that all California voters be able to cast a ballot privately and independently. A voting system that includes technology is the only way available to comply with those laws.

( says her. Pfft. Machines are not the only way to comply with that law. It was complied with for decades before the machines and she dang well knows that )

//

On March 13, 2023, Supervisor Crye invited Linda Rantz to speak with our working group. Rantz supports manual tallying of paper ballots and claims that her method of manually tally could be easily adopted by Shasta County

. This is not true.

( not true ? Says her. No supporting iinfo just her OPINION )

//

Code establishes numerous duties for me, as the elected clerk, beginning with the framing of the ballots through the final tally and canvass of election results. I take my statutory responsibility seriously. Creating a new voting system from scratch, that likely will not comply with state law, undermines my ability to perform those statutory responsibilities, intruding on my position as a duly elected Shasta County official. As a five-time elected official, with nearly 20 years of experience, I urge the Board to select a certified voting system.

( my opiniin of her is not as whiney as hers .Spit)
