“Set your expectations low.” - Elon Musk
Elon explained that If the idea of success is going to orbit it most likely will not happen. But if success is gathering data, that will definitely happen.
Elon said he spoke with the SpaceX Starship team and they can’t think of anything else that needs to be done. The ship is ready for a launch, and he still fully expects it not to happen. Most likely something will come up and it will be delayed. (Remember he has predicted Starship launch will be on April 20)
SOVIET N1 ROCKET
At least three times during the Twitter Space, Elon Musk recommended for anyone interested in big powerful rockets and the low chance of making it to orbit to learn about the Soviet N1 Rocket (largest rocket to date to attempt to get to orbit), it was the biggest explosion ever.
– Each of the four attempts to launch an N1 failed, with the second attempt resulting in the vehicle crashing back onto its launch pad shortly after liftoff.
This is going to be awesome no matter what. A huge can of Methane can go up, or it may blow up. All hopes for a real solid launch and near orbit. I’d like to see a mission 100% milestone success just to thumb at Bezos and have Musk win another one.
Moderate rain and thunder here in central FL, but radar looks clear at the launch sight right now. Weather would obstruct my view if they launch.
Did it happen yet?
Prayers for success.
It's one gorgeous Starship.
Happens.
I am a Musk fan.
Heck, you can call me a Muskovite.
Just said 8:20 am eastern for launch
T=0 now 0820 Central time.... maybe.
Current launch time 8:20 am Central Time after a 20 minute hold.
Sorry, Central not eastern... I stand corrected
OK, moving forward, fuel fill lines vents shut, ready to load propellants. Positive indication.
Propelent loading has begun! This is going to be something else!
I think this launch is from SpaceX facility in Texas.
