What a great ad for Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin. It sure sounds like an, “I’m running for President” ad, but it stops short. It builds on Ronald Reagan’s “A Time for Choosing” speech before he ran for President.....

Great - we need young blood instead of the gerontocracy of Biden and Trump.

He’s a butt kisser. Just watch his town hall from a couple of months ago. 3 years into his only 4 year term and he wants to be POTUS. Democrats are like the Chicoms-they think long term. We don’t. With 3 years he should run for the senate against Dr. Suess. Set up the Lt. Gov. for more REPUBLICAN success. He just thinks he can butt kiss his way into the WH.

I like what I’ve seen of Youngkin, but I’d rather he finished his term. He’s young, and Virginia needs him.

Great indeed.

It's fun watching Youngkin back away from his 25 years at Carlyle with its billions of holdings in China.

Go Youngkin!

I’m only worried about policy not age. Age is an incidental. What I don’t want is a return to The GOPe plantation. Hell, we are still on the plantation. Just look at the republican House. They aren’t fighting. They have the power to defund anything or everything. They could wield enormous power but instead they dick around with hearings while our country goes off the cliff.

He could well be on the short list to be Trump’s running mate.

From some of what has been said on this thread, some people here would not like to see that happen.

LOL performance art relying on the legacy of a former great president.

What does this have to do with Younkin’s past performance? Well, nothing really. I don’t care let him jump in, Trump will just put another scalp on his lodge pole.

Trump starved the DC Bush league election consultants because he showed they are not working for the betterment of America and are useless. As with De Santos they are desperate to get back in the money.

While we waste millions on meaningless primary challengers, the dems concentrate all their funds to get their brain dead canadines across the finish line.

Unless he can guarantee VA, which he can’t, that should be a no. Under pressure he’ll be apologizing for Trump almost daily.

So, your point is being part of an entity that has done business with China is a disqualifier for the Presidency?

The sad thing is to think that the only member of my mother’s generation (the last one to love America as a rule) that got to rule the US as president is the demented moron Biden.

Actually he’s only 1 year into his term.

Carlyle's offshoring record will be scrutinized if Youngkin runs. That's what they did to Mitt. We will see what happens.

What I do know now is that Youngkin was a big part of Carlyle and Youngkin has been backing away from his links to China as governor.

There’s blood in the water, and all the no-shots who are satisfied with coming in second realize DeSantis is vulnerable for the coveted #2 spot. Nothing to lose for them, but what an embarrassment for RON!

I think everyone but DeSantis and Nikki Haley is revving up their election machinery not because they necessarily hate Trump, but to be ready in case something really bad does happen (such as God forbid a medical emergency or something else bad that genuinely derails his comeback).

So again… is it your contention that being part of an organization that has done business with Chinese counterparts, no matter as to what extent, is a disqualifier?
